How To Get Started With The Activity Timeline In Microsoft Outlook 2010

The Activity Timeline in Microsoft Outlook 2010 can be a great tool for tracking your activities. You can sort your activities by columns, create card forms for each activity, and even delete shared activities. However, you may be wondering how to get started with the timeline.

Create ANew Card Form

There are many ways to use the Timeline feature in Dynamics 365. The Card form is one way to customize an activity timeline. However, you can also add additional columns from an activity table. These columns can be included in your card form to show more information. If you want to create a new card form for your activity timeline, you can do so by creating a new record. This is part of the Record settings area in the Timeline control settings.

To create a new record, select the Create directly from timeline option in the Activities pane. This will display a dropdown menu of Activity types. Select the type you want. After selecting the type, you can enable it. A check mark will appear next to each record. You can also choose to disable each record type. Disabling a record type will prevent that type from displaying on the timeline. Enabling a record type is a quick way to create a new note or post. By default, the Posts and Notes record types are enabled.

Sort Activities ByColumn

If you’re using, you’ve probably noticed that you can sort the activities by column. There are several different kinds of columns, and it is important to choose the right one for your needs. You can sort by Category, Name, or Date, and if you’re using a printer friendly screen, you can even select the date range from the pop-up calendar.

For a more native look, you can also use the gray background. Sorting by column is easy – just click on the arrow to the right of the column’s title. Sorting by a column is a great way to find out what your schedule looks like, and to quickly see upcoming activities. To customize the activities view, you can add new columns, modify the order of existing ones, or remove columns altogether. In addition to sorting activities by column, you can also sort by any other field. For example, you can filter by contact, activity type, or date.

Enable OrDisable ARecord Type help you manage the details of all the activities you are involved in. This includes appointments, phone calls, emails, and tasks. Each activity is displayed on the timeline, and you can use it to update case details later. In the activities pane, you can enable or disable record types to display on the timeline. You can also configure settings for each type.

There are three primary record types: activities, posts, and notes. An administrator can add custom sub activity record types. These types are not automatically displayed on the timeline until they are created. However, administrators can enable and disable these types in Record Settings.

For any of the record types, you can enable status tags. Status tags are enabled by default, and they allow you to see the current state of an activity. If you enable the tag, you can then use filters to quickly filter records based on the reason. When you enable a record type on an activity timeline, a checkmark will appear next to the type. It will then be displayed in the dropdown menu on the Activities pane.

Delete Shared Activities

The Activity Timeline is a tool that allows you to visualize and create custom events. It also allows you to save and share activities in your feed. You can view and filter your activity history based on different filters. For example, you can choose to see all activities by your customer or view a subset of them. In order to use the Activity Timeline, you first need to have a Microsoft account. If you do not have an account, you can sign up for a free account. Once you are logged in, you can view and delete activity data from the cloud. To do so, you must go to Settings > Privacy & security.

Upon clicking the Activity Timeline filter icon on the right side of the Activity section, you will be able to view and filter your activities. The icons you can choose from include Runbook, Share, Trash, Trash Restore, and Move. Selecting the activity you want to delete is the next step. A pop-up window will appear. Click Save to save the change.

Final Word

Activity Timeline is a powerful tool that helps users visualize different types of activities. It can be used to report on activities with specific people. The main body of a timeline record is divided into three sections. Column 1 is the subheader, while column 2 and 3 are part of the main body. When you expand column 3, the full content of the record will be shown.
